Dr. Richard Roe is a Board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in the treatment of diseases of the retina and vitreous.  After receiving his Bachelor’s degree in Natural Sciences with honors at the Johns Hopkins University, Dr. Roe went on to receive a Masters of Health Sciences degree at the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health.  He then attended Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and completed an internship in Medicine at the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center.  Thereafter, Dr. Roe completed his residency training in ophthalmology at the Manhattan Eye Ear & Throat Hospital and New York University.  He went on to complete a two year vitreoretinal fellowship at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco.

Dr. Roe has been involved with numerous national clinical trials and has published numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters on diseases of the retina, uveitis, and vitreoretinal surgery.  He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Retina Specialists, and the Korean American Medical Association.
